Jeffrey's Mission was founded in loving memory of Jeffrey Landry, a devoted father, son, and brother whose life was tragically cut short due to his battle with substance abuse. His family, deeply affected by his loss, made the decision to transform their grief into action. They founded Jeffrey's Mission with a simple but powerful goal: to support individuals struggling with addiction and provide hope to families navigating the same challenges they once faced.
At its core, Jeffrey's Mission is a movement - one rooted in resilience, understanding, and unwavering commitment to helping others overcome the grip of addiction. Through direct support, community outreach, and advocacy, we work to create a real change, ensuring that no one has to battle addiction alone.
Jeffrey's struggle is not an isolated one. Across the county, countless individuals and families are impacted by substance use disorders, and the stigma surrounding addiction often prevents those in need form seeking help. Jeffrey's Mission exists to break down those barriers and offer a safe, welcoming space for healing and recovery.
As a sponsor of Jeffrey's Mission, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve. Jeffrey's Mission is led by pepole who have lived the experience of addiction, recovery, and loss. Our president, Scott Landry, Jeffrey's brother, has walked this difficult path firsthand and now dedicates his life to helping others who struggle with addiction. Scott also spearheads Jeffrey's Mission Fathers Support Group, a safe space where fathers can come together, share experiences, and navigate the challenges of having a loved one struggle with addiction.
Our board members and volunteers include individuals from diverse backgrounds, including mental health professionals, recovery advocates, and community leaders, all working together to provide vital resources and support.
Each member of our team shares a common goal: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by addiction. We know that recovery is not just about the individual - it's about rebuilding families, strengthening communities, and providing a network of unwavering support.
Since its inception, Jeffrey's Mission has made significant strides in supporting individuals and families affected by substance abuse. Some of our key milestones and ongoing initiatives include the following:
We provide financial assistance to help individuals access sober living homes and treatment facilities, breaking down financial barriers to recovery. These scholarships offer individuals the opportunity to build a strong foundation for long-term sobriety.
Addiction affects more than just the individual. Our family support groups offer a safe space for loved ones to share, heal, and support one another. Families play a crucial role in the recovery process, and our programs aim to provide them with the knowledge and strength to navigate this journey.
Regular, structured check-ins help individuals stay accountable and connected throughout their recovery journey. Consistent support can be the difference between relapse and sustained sobriety.
We actively work to break the stigma surrounding addiction and push for policy changes that improve access to treatment and recovery support. Through social media, events, and outreach, we aim to educate communities and foster a more compassionate approach to addiction.
We are a fully recognized nonprofit, allowing us to expand our programs and reach more individuals in need. This milestone solidifies our commitment to transparency and accountability in all that we do.
